Courtney Freeman was our salesperson and the manager was Miss Cori. Courtney did a great job showing us all the options. The wife finally found the color to match our current couch. We brought a sample to compare. Who knew the color, cappuccino, was it? Miss Cori sealed the deal by being super friendly and we appreciated the extra discount and additional information on the brand. Reviews are important because we went home and did more research on the name brand and found that Flexsteel was rated very high among current owners. It appears that all brands have their highs and lows, but Flexsteel is more trusted by current owners. Our old loveseat recliner was ten years old and it showed: my side of the recliner broke after 9 years, fixed it then it broke again; the foam and spring cushion deteriorated to the point that I was sitting crooked in the recliner for several years which aggravated my back. When I sat on the new loveseat the biggest thing I immediately noticed was the SUPPORT and my back did not hurt while getting off the recliner. Instead of sinking into the recliner, I am floating on the recliner. God Bless America, my back pain has subsided. Time will tell if the loveseat recliner will hold up, but so far it is excellent. I hope they send me another survey in a year or two. I would love to get ten years from this recliner. Howell Furniture was clean and well organized and they had the recliner in stock; we received the recliner the next day, delivered by professionals. We visited at least three other furniture stores and almost did not go to Howell because it was late and we were tired, so glad we did. I am completely satisfied, thank you Howell Furniture, Courtney and Miss Cori. Good job!

I very rarely replace furniture as I was raised to keep furniture unless it was broken, or had a bad odor and to readily receive furniture from other family members when it was surplus for them. My parents were born during the Great Depression. However, I will certainly keep you in mind for the future. I bought a house full of furniture from Howell's about 12 years ago and I wasn't replacing it because it was worn out, but rather I just wanted a refresh and I passed all of it down to my niece. I've always had a good experience shopping at Howell's. I go in from time to time for a piece or two in between buying a room full of furniture for not only my home, but for my camp. I know what I want and I love that I can relay this to the staff and am taken straight to it. This time I was helped by Jennifer Burke and I was blown away by her knowledge of the store's inventory. She took my ideas and added suggestions, not unlike some salespeople, but above and beyond.! I actually bought a Kincaid couch and loveseat sight unseen because they had nothing like it on the floor and I trusted that it would be what I wanted. I requested 5 specific things and looked on their site with Jenn and ordered. I also bought 2 Southern Motion chairs and these are amazing! From material to pillows to rugs, Jenn not only helped me shop, but also was empathetic to my time constraints due to a personal issue during this time. She also came over when the furniture was delivered and helped with placement. She offered suggestions on lamps, tables, wall art and decorations. etc. She will offer support after the sale, which I love! Howell's is lucky to have this energetic, upbeat, knowledgeable, caring, no-pressure sales person! 5 stars aren't enough! Thank you Jennifer Burke and Howell's!

Jenn met me at the door with a smile and the interest it took to listen to what I needed, walked me to various possible selections of a sofa and side chair, was patient with me in making up my mind (so many options) then when I was convinced I’d made the right choice she was as excited as I was to find that “Perfect” match! She offered several times to come to my home (a free service) to help decide on size and colors but fortunately I finally sat on the sofa meant for me! The delivery guys were awesome, very careful and considerate arriving when they were scheduled and well mannered. My dad recently had major back surgery and we needed to get him a new lift chair because the one he had broke. After searching the internet I decided to just call Howell Furniture in Beaumont, TX. I was fortunate to be put in contact with Eric Hoggins. Eric handled everything like a true professional and even sent me pictures with descriptions from his phone since I was out of town on business. Even the dispatcher and delivery team couldn't have been any better. Price is a major factor but service plays a big part as well. The chair was even better than I expected and my dad loves it. Quality construction and comfortable. From a real person answering the phone, Eric's service and guidance, the delivery team and process has made me a customer for life!

My salesperson was knowledgable, nice, and helpful; however, she pushed the expensive mattresses and pillows too hard. The delivery guys were awesome. My only complaint is that it took 2 months to receive my bed. The remainder of my bedroom set was delivered promptly, but I was advised that my bed was on a ship sitting in the Port of Houston due to a Customs backup. I don't see how a ship could possibly sit in port for 2 months. But, Howell refunded my delivery charge, which I appreciated. Aside from the delay receiving my bed, I had a good experience and received very high quality furniture. I would shop at Howell again and recommend it to my friends and family.

My only issue was a miscommunication on delivery but the issue was resolved quickly and professionally. I have no complaints about my experience at all. I will be back in the future

We purchased back in February 2021 but did not receive our full order till August 2021. I know there were shipping set backs and delays in product due to covid so I understand why it took so long, but it was frustrating not knowing when we would receive our full order. We did receive a metal bed frame for a month or so while we waited so I did appreciate that. The men who installed our bed frame were friendly and quick. I do have a minor issue with one of my drawers in my bed frame, but other than that, they did a great job. :)

The couch we picked out is amazing quality for the price (which I feel is rare these days). Sue Hamilton helped us so much, and was wonderful to work with! I was called informing me they were on the way. Yes they were wearing mask, very polite, got furniture in without any problems, set up and placed where I wanted everything done in an orderly manner. The sale person helped me find what I was looking for, this is not the first time I have purchased furniture from Howell and would still have had if not for the hurricane that I purchased after Hurricane Rita 15 years ago, Lazy Boy brand 3 peice and would still have. When the product arrived two of the doors were broken. Yes, The delivery guy did insure that Howell furniture would make it right but for now I have a door that is very hard to open and the other one is cracked across the front. Still in all Im very pleased with Howell Furniture.

Outstanding customer service. Delivery technicians did a superb job. Howells gives you a 2 hour window on estimated time for delivery. My only suggestion would be if delivery techs would give you a call when they are headed to your home. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever.

I LOVE my new bedroom set. Right after ordering it my home flooded and Howells kept it in the warehouse for me until I needed it with no pressure! It arrived perfect and the delivery guys were very careful not to damage anything and didnt touch a wall which is hard in my home as I have long halls with turns. They asked me where I wanted everything , set it up and my bed was assembled quickly. They even plugged in my nightstands for me! And also let me just say Courtney is AMAZING. Loveseat and sofa delivered, loveseat was wrong fabric but my salesperson and Howells are reordering loveseat and making it right. Its a little disappointing but mistakes happen and as long as its made right I will be happy. They were extremely nice about it. Very good experience, as always. Sales person (Courtney) was very helpful and the drivers were careful and helpful. One of my chairs was damaged and a nightstand, but they came that way. They were replaced asap. Everyone was very courteous.

We would like to thank Patricia and Maria with their undivided attention each time we came into the Howell's Lake Charles store. We were treated kindly and Patricia was most knowledgeable about each piece of furniture we questioned. She helped to make our selection a success. We received the Hurricane Harvey discount and the Best Buy card. They were sympathetic about our great loss of house and furniture due to the storm. Patricia and Maria worked closely with us with the storage of our furniture purchases, because of the months the furniture had to be held in storage, before we would have our house up and ready to have it delivered. Maria handled the paperwork professionally. We feel that as we use our two 'Flexsteel' recliners and 'Flexsteel' sofa bed queen couch we will be more and more pleased of its durability. I purchased a Tempurpedic double mattress and then realized I should have gone with the queen. They made the exchange for me and with a smile on their face. Everyone there are friendly and wanting to help with whatever you need. Definitely recommend shopping at Howell's.
